All pots are hand built, using slab, coiled, moulded and thrown techniques.
Individual pots can be designed and made to your specific requirements, and coloured accordingly. Additionally educational workshops are provided by Conrad. Decorative techniques available:
Oxidised firing – use of an electric kiln, producing glazed and oxide decorated ceramics in an oxidised atmosphere.
Raku firing- ceramics fired in a rapid firing cycle and then removed at optimum temperature. This method produces lustres, irredescent colours and crackled glaze.
Controlled salt firing- firings using salt to create a crater type effect on the surface of the pot.
Sawdust firing- these are firings which are created with the use of sawdust. This creates black smoke stains around the chosen vesssels.
